નિખાલસ
પ્રારબ્ધ ને અહીયા ગાઠે કોણ્?
હુ પડ્કાર ઝીલ્નારો માણસ છુ
હુ તેજ ઉછી નુ લઊ નહિ
હુ જાતે બળતુ ફાનસ છુ.
ઝળાહળા નો મોહ્તાજ નથી
મને મારુ અજ્વાળુ પુરતુ છે
અન્ધારા ના વમળ ને કાપે
કમળ તેજ તો સ્ફુરતુ છે
ધુમ્મસ મા મને રસ નથી
હુ ખુલ્લો અને નિખાલસ છુ

કુન્ડળીને વળગવુ ગમે નહી
ને ગ્રહો કને શિર નમે નહી
કાયરોની શતરન્જ પર જીવ
સોગઠાબાજી રમે નહી
હુ પોતે જ મારો વન્શજ છુ
હુ પોતે મારો વારસ્ છુ

As I write this, Narendrabhai has won the much hyped Gujarat election in style. So just thought that this poem goes well with the ocassion. For me this is the real "Moditva" which shows up in every line that he writes. Those who are really interested in knowing more about his style of writing, please go through his book of poems called "Aankh Aa Dhanya Chhe" (These eyes are blessed). Some time back the book was released in Mumbai. Here is a link to the video recording of entire book release function. It is quite an experience to be able to listen to some of the poems being sung by greats like Bhupinderji, Rup Kumar Rathore and Parthiv Gohil.

Finally, on his overwhelming victory today (and he fought like a one-man-army against every possible adversary) my heartiest congratulations to the Chief-Minister-To-Be Shri Narendrabhai Modi!!

this time he was saved due to majority of votes from saurastra..unlike other places..
Superb... The kind of attitude he wears is like Karmanye Vadhikaraste...
Chinmay seems to be hating him like all other highly intelactual people & highly arogant media!!! It is absolutely demeanining to say he is saved... I would rather say we are saved...
It is worth to note that 9 seats in central Gujarat are lost much less than 2000 votes margin which saved stripping of Congress to a certain extent. Next time they may not even get total of 9...
hey manan , not hard feelings for mr modi, but the thing i dont like of hhim is his aotocratic approach..i appreciate his efforts as no other minister has done any better..and saved was jus in a pun context so chill..
Don't worry Chinmai... No one is perfect & Mr Modi is not exception... All autocrats are not bad...
There is an opinion that Mahatma Gandhi was an autocrat in his own way for practicing too much of non violence... Had he been considerate for other ways picture might be differen... either better or worse...
Mananbhai, I completely agree with you. Not all autocrates are bad and evenif you have to cast him as autocrate, I would say we are far better off with him being in the office. atleast he has got vision.
and of Chinmai :) she is probably a good supporter of Modi and most probably has voted for him (99.99% sure!!) its just that she either is afraid of showing her feelings in public or she is looking for too much perfection..which we all know is only possible in dreams...;)
