Following Indian stock market crash post union budget ’08, CNBC TV18’s Udayan Mukherjee caught up with cabinet minister of commerce Mr. Kamal Nath to specifically talk about govt’s desire to price control cement sector.
Why I say it’s must hear because never before in my life have I listened to such to-the-point and blunt discussion by a media reporter with a senior cabinet minister in India. Udayan literally lashed onto Kamal Nath, who was proposing an export ban on cement companies in order to curtail cement prices. End result? Well, Mr.Nath was trying so very hard to find appropriate words in his defence and Udayan could not stop laughing. Hear it for yourself.
For Udayan, nice job mate. Add one more to your fan list!!
Cheers.

I heard it was good & courageous but we can't give a free hand to inflation in any way... economics is nothing but the supply v/s demand business but ruling a nation is to see lot more other aspects... It is an urgent need to bring an equality in the nation before it falls down into the civil wars... I support KamalNath's decision anything & everything pushing the inflation up & affecting a common man have to be closely analysed & strict actions have to be taken...
The people like Rise have to more constructively contribute in discussing & explaining what will help curbing the inflation rather than acting an agent to the billionaire... should try to be a mesiha to a billion countrymen...
The coversation was only a logic trick; pick up from where he leaves & which even I play much better...
Let me know about your views on 3 practical steps those can be taken to control the inflation.
Just not fall prey to inteligent bafoons who speak good english. Try to analyse yourself holistically.
By the way, I liked the title Rise v/s Rose... You were too good on that...
keep the good work on
Manubhai,
Cant diagree with you on content, as always...
You are right all stpes must be taken to curb inflation ... but the step is not out side the perview of scrutiny. When you take a step you need to justify the same, which rose couldnt...
dun care, dun give a damn abt politicians decisions..cos they dun listen to us do they. I just live with whatever I have.
Keshi.
